PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Chancery Notice (25 January 2021)

  1. Ash Wednesday (February 17)
  2. As this year Ash Wednesday (February 17) falls on the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, the faithful are dispensed from fast and abstinence on that day in accordance with our diocesan regulation. However, they are obliged to choose for themselves some other suitable forms of penance or perform some works of charity, in keeping with the penitential spirit of the season of Lent.

According to Chancery Notice of “New Diocesan Pastoral Measures for Combating COVID-19 Transmission”, All Public Masses are to be further suspended until further notice. Our Parish will have the following arrangements:

  1. All Public Masses will be suspended.
  2. Parochial Church is opened (6am to 10pm) to the faithful for personal prayers. Please remember to keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters between themselves. (On Sunday, the Church will be Closed at 9am to 11am)
  3. From 8 Feb, Holy Communion will be distributed daily at 8am. (Except on 12 Feb and 17 Feb).
  4. Our Parish Live webcast Mass (in Cantonese) will be held on Sunday at 10am. Live webcast on Parish YouTube Channel. Holy Communion will be distributed at 11am and 2pm.
  5. Sunday Eucharistic Adoration will be held after Distributing the Holy Communion on 11am until 2pm.
  6. Ash Wednesday (17 Feb), same as Sunday, Ashes and Holy Communion will be distributed at 11am, 2pm and 8pm.

  1. The faithful are reminded to observe Lent by works of self-denial, prayer, repentance and charity. On Fridays of Lent, they are encouraged to pray the Way of the Cross individually. Prayers for Way of the Cross (English and Chinese) are now posted on each Station in the Church.
  2. When all Public Masses are suspended, Holy Communion will be distributed daily at 8am and on Sunday at 11am and 2pm.
    (The parishioners should be properly disposed by either attending a Mass online or paying a visit to the Blessed Sacrament beforehand.)

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
