1st January, 2024
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Happy New Year to you and to your relatives and friends!

May the New Year bring peace to all the people of the world! Every day the news reminds us that this world and our families are in great need of peace. Let us pray the Lord to grant us this great gift.

During 2023 we have celebrated the 50th anniversary of the consecration of our church. I take this chance to express my personal and the community gratitude to all the people that have helped the parish to organize all the events related to the 50th anniversary. There is plenty of brothers and sisters that work in silence and away from the spotlights to make the community of Holy Redeemer Church a better place to stay together and live our faith. Thanks to all of you!

These current years Synodality reminds us that every single person in the church has the responsibility to help the church to give witness to the gospel of the Lord. Our difference in thoughts, custom, culture are a precious treasure. We are blessed with many differences in our parish; we must be grateful to the lord for this fact. At the same time each one of us has to keep in mind that his or her help is always precious to the community. So please, don’t be shy!

This letter is traditionally also the occasion to update you on the maintenance of our church building. In 2023 we finished to pay the expenses of the new elevator. We added two doors to the sacristy of the small chapel for security issues. A new cabinet has been prepare to give a new home to the statue of St. Joseph and two new icons were added to the small chapel. I hope they will help you to pray. Other daily maintenance to the parish building has been done. The big maintenance works that we have in program are the renewal of the ceiling of the chapel and the painting of the outside walls of the church.

I take this occasion to thank all of you for the spiritual and material support in providing for the needs of our parish.

May the Lord bless you all!
