    Brothers and Sister in Christ:

I miss you all very much!

It has been over two months since the third wave of the Coronavirus epidemic. Words cannot describe the feelings of the Parish Pastoral Team when they look at the empty pews every morning and every Sunday. Father Tei, Father Louland and I celebrate mass every morning and without fail, all your faces appear before our eyes. We pray daily for Hong Kong, our Diocese, our Parish and all of you at every mass.

Because of the epidemic situation, you are unable to attend mass and receive Holy Eucharist. I fully understand your feeling of loss. However, we can take this opportunity as a period of “Purification and Enlightenment”. Every day we can deepen and improve our prayer life. We can ardently hope and sincerely prepare ourselves to welcome the Body of Christ into our lives. It is true that we do not know how much longer we have to wait. It is in the hands of God. When the time is right, He will once again permit us the experience of physically receive the Body of Christ. In the meantime, let us await this moment with prudence and faith.

Our Parish is well prepared for coping with the epidemic situation. You are all welcome to come anytime to pray. The Church environment is cleansed with disinfectant daily and periodically. We have sufficient amounts of masks and hand sanitizers and if need be, you are welcome to come to the Church for it.

The Election for the next Parish Pastoral Council Executive members should be held in September. Because public mass has been suspended, we are unable to carry out the associated activities. In accordance with the Parish Pastoral Council Constitution (Amended on 16th May, 2010) Article 28, an Extraordinary General Meeting was convened. It has been agreed by all Council members to extend the present 13th Parish Pastoral Council Executive Committee and the Parish Pastoral Council for one year until 31st December 2021. The Parish Pastoral Team thank all members for their willingness to continue to offer their services. I would like to invite everyone to pray for them and our Parish. By the grace of God and under His guidance, through faith, hope and love, we will be able to face all kinds of challenges hand in hand with one heart.

Peace be with you all! Let us pray for each other! Looking forward to being with you in Church soon!
