  5. 15th January 2019

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

May the joy and peace of our Savior Jesus Christ be with you always!

First, I would like to thank you all for the support you have given the Parish for the past year. We have successfully cerebrated our 45th Parish Anniversary. During the past year, the Parish had carried out numerous improvements.

This includes: renovation of the Cross on the external wall; installation of “Via Lucis” and the production of the “Prayer Booklet”; establishing a History Gallery; acquiring a mobile stair climber and hiring of a handyman who is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of the church environment.

As to faith formation, the Parish continued to have a monthly retreat. the Youth Pastoral Group continued to have their monthly meeting. At the same time, the Parish had organized an Iconography Workshop and a family photography competition, etc. Other activities included the Parish annual picnic and local and overseas pilgrimage etc.

I thank you all for the support and encouragement given for the implementation of the above activities.

Looking ahead to the coming year, the Parish still needs your support in order to complete various renovation programs. This includes: renovation of the existing air conditioning system; renovation of the Sacristy and updating the video/sound system etc. In addition, the existing lift is old, getting renovation parts is difficult and requires a long wait. The cost for maintenance of the lift is high. The Parish would like to raise funds to completely overhaul the lift as soon as possible.

Moreover, the Parish is focusing on the importance of youth pastoral development. We are now preparing to attend and participate the Youth Experience Program in Indonesia this summer. Furthermore, the Parish will support the various activities of the Youth Pastoral Group and all other youth groups.

We ardently hope that in the coming year, you will continue to support the Church spiritually and financially. On behalf of the Parish Pastoral Team and the Parish Pastoral Committee, I thank you for your continuous love and support for the Church. The Parish truly needs your prayers. May the Lord reward you all a hundredfold.

“May the God of peace furnish you with all that is good, that you may do His will. May He carry out in you what is pleasing to Him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” (Heb 13:21)
